On Sunday, June 4, 2023, we will commemorate National Cancer Survivors Day®️. The Alaska Cancer Partnership is collaborating with partners to highlight Survivors Day events across the state.

For millions of people living with cancer, National Cancer Survivors Day®️ is a treasured Celebration of Life observed annually on the first Sunday in June*. It is also a day to acknowledge the contributions of their families, friends, and healthcare providers, as well as those engaged in cancer research.


Anyone living with a history of cancer – from the moment of diagnosis through the remainder of life – is a cancer survivor, as defined by the National Cancer Survivors Day Foundation.

About Alaska Cancer Survivors Day

This annual Alaskan event honors National Cancer Survivors Day with a week of events across the state.

It is organized by volunteers from the Alaska Cancer Partnership, a group of
organizations and individuals working to bring resources and expertise together to address the continuum of cancer prevention and control in Alaska. You can view resources for Alaskan cancer survivors and care providers on their resource website.
